CONCEPTUALIZATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF CHAPTER TWO
The Conceptualization and Development of Chapter Two training organized by AOSARS will take place on Saturday, 6th September 2025 at 2:00 PM East Africa Time (EAT). This corresponds to 1:00 PM Central Africa Time (CAT) and South Africa Standard Time (SAST), 12:00 Noon West Africa Time (WAT), and 11:00 AM Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).
During the session, participants will be guided through the purpose and structure of Chapter Two, focusing on how to conceptualize the literature review, build a strong theoretical and conceptual framework, and organize themes coherently. The training will emphasize critical analysis and synthesis of existing studies rather than simple summaries, showing how to identify research gaps and position one’s work in the wider academic context. Participants will also be introduced to digital tools for literature management and the ethical use of AI to support review writing. By the end of the session, each participant should be able to draft a clear and structured outline for their Chapter Two.
